those wings were mine....
i was almost out of breath. it had been a long time i had been repeating and doing this over and over again. i believed i had become a little less restless and more pacific with time but to my utter suprise, neither my body nor my soul could take it any longer. i felt like standing up and running away. but alas! being on my feet was a distant thing, i couldnt even dare to open my eyes. why on earth did i decide to make myself to go through all this? didnt i care for myself enough after all that i had seen and heard? the reply reverberated throughout my body like ripples on the surface of water. i was sitting there for myself, to get a grip of my life before it was too late. i was doing this for my sake....so as i prepared to face my fears inside-out, i realised that the moment i had been dying for had finally arrived. i knew He would get me out of this, as always. So i laid my heavy, tired and passive body on the ground and took a deep slow breath. finally the night had given way to a bright sunny morning. if there was heaven on earth, it was right there. as i relaxed and calmed down, my body became full of sensations from being absolutely numb seconds ago. the frequency of reverberations increased with each passing moment and all i could feel was this sudden burst of energy in the innermost empty spaces lying vacant since time unknown. i could make out that sleep was taking me over. it was the only thing i needed at that point of time. hence closing the eyes of my soul shut to all the mundane activities going around me (my eyes were already closed.....since i dont know when), i felt my body sinking deep into the earth. was it really possible? had i become weightless? no surreal amount of fake happiness which had been a part of me could match this joy of flying i was experiencing. i basked in the glory of the moment and then slowly and gradually everything went blank.
when i finally woke up to guruji's call, i could see a whole new world around me. the newfound silence had filled every part of my rejuvenated body. questions like why, who, what, how seemed to be leaving and forcing their way out of me. all i remembered was that i was sitting in my Art Of Living class. i had woken up at four and it was 8:15 now. College! i knew i had to rush back home in order to be there on time. but heck!! who cares?? god bless Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and his Sudarshan Kriya..
